VIENNA, VA – The NT Concepts corporate citizenship program, #NTC_GivesBack, hosted an evening of bowling on December 7 at Bowlero Tysons in honor of Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) and families who have lost military loved ones.
“The TAPS mission is to offer support and resources to the loved ones of America’s fallen military heroes. Since 1994 TAPS has provided hope and healing to over 100,000 survivors of a military loss; regardless cause of death, relationship to the deceased, or duty status at the time of death.” Many employees were grateful to hear from the children who shared their stories about how the organization helped them process their grief and find community following the loss of their parent.
NT Concepts began the partnership with TAPS at the Armed Forces Cycling Classic in June 2021, where NT Concepts raised over $8,900 in individual donations to the organization that assists grieving families. Since then, NT Concepts has deepened the connection with the organization and the families they serve.
“We want to make more of a connection with organizations,” said Tucker Newberry, a member of the #NTC_GivesBack cohort that has fostered the partnership with TAPS. “It’s more than just writing checks; it’s about building a relationship.”
#NTC_GivesBack is looking forward to their next event with TAPS, which will be the Armed Forces Cycling Classic on June 4-5 in 2022. The cohort is currently registering employees, friends, and family of NT Concepts to race for Team TAPS at the event and is connecting other companies to TAPS for the cycling challenge and future long-term partnerships.
